The Goat
An imposing 16th-century Venetian castle (1593), built on top of the Assos peninsula for protection from pirates. It covers 170 stremmata (17 hectares) with walls 2 kilometres long. With magical views over the Ionian Sea and the nearby islands, it is one of the most beautiful castles on Kefalonia.
