Kourkoumelata is considered the most beautiful village on Kefalonia. It was rebuilt after the 1953 earthquake in a single architectural style, paid for by the shipowner Georgios Vergotis, with neoclassical houses, a square with a clock, plenty of greenery and immaculate upkeep. A model village with a look all of its own.
